The Princess with the Golden Pen

A day after our sad loss, we have a new member in our fabulous Clan. I am glad to present the second female Marx Brothers: shaolinda.

Some of the more attentive readers of this blog may have noticed that Shaolinda was head of the Crew Resistance Movement against “Captain Hook” Powdersnow (read powersoccerextra any day now to get a full interview with “Peter Pan” Sipwell) and that she is a Sergeant-Major in the Slippermen. She updated us with daily briefings on the situation inside the castle (secret messages, all over the internet) and on the mood of Powdersnow, who requested to change his username to “Thunderstrike” but got a refusal of the board of PS.
Shaolinda is an absolute top person. Agreed: she may have a dismal record in winning games (none so far) and may have not been the most active Powersoccer user so far, but she is an absolute top addition to this clan in both personality and talent. If you would look up the “expression” shaolinda in a dictionary, you will find the following description: “cunning, witty, multitasking Devil-does-all with a sharp and brilliant pen, a great vision and above all a devotion to Powerchallenge that can only be matched with the devotion of Sipwell's grandfather to his multi-prize winning pumpkin.”

The author of that entrance into the “Great Dictionary of Absolutely Top Notch People” indeed was not mistaken. And I need to explain why (I always overdo posts, so let me!). My grandfather goes to great lengths to cherish and nurture his prize-winning pumpkins. He developed his own breed and successfully grows at least one international prize-winning pumpkin a year, he is honoured in the Champion’s League of absolute pumpkin heroes, and that for the last 52 years in succession. His famous (and only) loss in 1956 was a result of my father drawing a smiley face on the pumpkin. If my father – who has been banned from ever be in contact with a pumpkin, let alone call his female friends “pumpkins” by the Family Board (I stem from an absolute Pumpkin family, we are without doubt the Rockefellers of Pumpkins) – had not done this horrendous and even obnoxious act, my grandfather would have hold the record for longest winning streak ever…
My grandfather is so devoted to his pumpkins that he has been sleeping outside with his pumpkins for all of his life (my grandmother even had to come and go to him rather than the other way around to write the application form for a baby) and that he feeds them manually (with a special developed spoon) a unique recipe that has been in the family for ages.

Shaolinda is my grandfather in an (attractive) young, dynamic female Powerchallenge style. If you find anyone more devoted to these sites than herself, she publicly stated (in a private conversation) she would instantly commit seppuku.

Thus, how can we refuse a person who publicly stated that “I really love writing!” and who, by reading her continuous stream of marvellous posts on the development blog, can actually write a fabulous text, with content? How can we refuse somebody who defines the expression ‘helping the community’ on daily (yet paid) basis? How can we refuse somebody who cries out – without shame or fear – that she absolutely stinks at this game? That is impossible! Therefore, welcome in the only clan that Matters, the clan that is and will forever stay to backbone of our beloved game of Powersoccer. Welcome to the clan. I hope you'll have a great time here.
