Oh it's that time of year, or is it?

Those sights, of new flowers, new trees, melting snow, soccer balls flying through goal keeper arms and into that formidable net. They all make up spring, what many call the best time of year. Not here in Wisconsin. Yesterday, it snowed. What a drag, and to think it was 50 degrees last week. None the less, yours truly traveled an hour and a half for a tourney, (where it wasn't snowing, only gusting 40 mph) and played some ball. I quote my teammate here "The mud is wearing your shirt", and it could not have been anymore true.

It just made me realise, what soccer does to people, or football as you non egotistical non Americans call it. I didn't notice the fact that the river next to the fields was flooding, that the college scouts were watching, that the wind was howling 40 mph, once I was on the field. Whoever invented soccer/football could not have been a smarter person, (though after all the headers...) no matter what happens around us, it will always be played forever and ever. One great may leave, but another will step on the pitch. Quite similar to Power Soccer when you look at it. You have the rivialries, then the star of the rival joining you, you have your crazy parents that care too much for a win, then your users that want to see you on the ground (me in real soccer).

But then I thought to myself, well, what fun would it be to live the same in both places? No fun at all. You do one thing on Power Soccer, feel free to do the opposite in real life (Im not endorsing swearing at your mother). I got scolded by sipwell, because at this tournament, my team won all three games we played, due to some solid defense. (Ahem Ahem me Ahem Ahem). I guess what I'm trying to say here is that too me, in real life soccer is not just a game, its a passion.

It was fun corner though sip :)

Five in defence, eh? Interesting that they are all called "Ahem"... are they brothers or related in some other way?
