The Battle Is Joined

Well, this Blog War is gathering pace. Today, I was challenged by superblack, Powdersnow's most trusted deputy and follower of the great leader himself (or so Powdersnow told him to say). There was much talk that I would lose and lose badly. Let us see what happened...

The opening exchanges were scrappy, with both teams vying to take the upper hand but superblack scored fairly quickly to make it 1-0. He was laughing. I was not.

He stopped laughing when this happened:~




In fact, he seemed very quiet all of a sudden! Still, he pressed home the attack and scored again to make it 2-1. Something seemed not quite right but the normally sharp AF9 brain could not quite put his finger on the problem. It was as the third superblack goal went in that all became clear... I was playing on superblack's pitch and....

HIS GROUND SLOPES DOWNHILL, RIGHT TO LEFT!

As this realisation dawned on me, it became apparent that advantage could be made of it. Sure enough, the slope came to my aid in the second half and the final score was this:~



Of course, it is unfortunate that such a faulty pitch could cause this result but I am led to believe that Powdersnow has used his position to create the anomaly for all of his "followers". This is shocking at the very least. It certainly warrants further investigation.

I left one final, parting shot to superblack.... FREE HOGWEED!
