In every organization you have a boss like we have a clan leader. A good boss is has a coach or board of advisors that help him to reflect on himself.

Our dear leader Airfix has such a coach and we must value that very high because the feedback is sometimes very blunt:
And yes, in every organization you have the outstanding performance of team members and you have people of which, let's put it mildly, we wonder "how on earth did they make it into the team?".

Of course this goes undoubtly for the writer of this blog. I get my tasks from Sipwell (or his schizophrenic alter ego Wispell) and they all have one thing in common. Our conversations therefore mostly start something like this:
Motivation of the workforce is crucial for succes. The leader has to set the example, live the vision of the organization (and clan) and give room to the people to perform and shine. The spottlight should be on them, the leader giving them all the credits.

So in decision making, the leader has to listen to the people, involving them so there is a solid base to build upon. Bottom-up rather than top-down. Does this always work? Well ever seen a mason build a wall?
Right!

And just last one to prove the point that clans are just like any other organization...how often do we discuss things while knowing it won't work? That the other person is fully convinced of his idea, he won't listen to you?
Let's be honest, we all know that we are talking about Sip and AF here of course...

But no, instead we stay polite, complain out of the room to eachother and refuse to do anything that they "asked" us to do. Basicly it ends up like this:
So guys, the bottom line... We play Powersoccer to escape from our real life, from our boring work, our bossy boss and where do we end up with????????? Hmmm......
