More about us

A year has passed, and the clan is still alive, or even more than before.
To celebrate this event, I want to share with you, dear reader, the secret of our "fathers" Sipwell and Airfix_9, and something about us.

Let's start with Sipwell.

His real name is Lenni, and he's the president of a big company called Sip-Well.
Here you have their logo:

Founded in 1993, Sip-Well has known a remarkable expansion (since then). This is due to the nature of our company, being constantly in progress. The continuous research and development do not only guarantee excellent quality in water and impeccable client services, but also enable us to spoil you with our Sip & Drinks, a broad selection of instant drinks going from soups to coffee.

Amazing isn't it ? And you'll ask me now , how did Lenni found our game ?
Well, in a very hot summer, the company of our loved Lenni had distribution problems, too many demands and too few distributors, and one day, angry customers came to protest the lack of responsibility and organization of the company.
Lenni didn't knew what to do, they where really angry and violent ...
After using his neurons, he found a great idea: distract the customers with the PC, with Miniclip or something else.
This was too much for the fragile Lenni nerves, which needed a walk to calm down. After returning from the tour, guests were delighted and happy, totally hooked to the PC screen.
They where playing Power Soccer ...

(PS: the customers are still playing : Lesquive and Tommyroels)

Turn to Airfix_9.

His real name is Charles Darwind and he's the leader of the brand Airfix (a manufacturer of scale plastic model kits).
Here you have their logo:

Airfix is the oldest UK manufacturer of scale plastic model kits and has been producing kits for the mass market since 1952. Airfix produce a wide range of plastic kit models aimed at all types of scale modellers with subjects such as; military aircraft, ships, cars, dioramas and more recently licensed products such as Wallace & Gromit, and shortly Doctor Who.

How he joined PS ? Through Miniclip, and here you have the reason of his nick name (from an old Interview) :

I support Fulham, as you may know and they were looking for models to show off the new uniforms and I applied and got accepted … I don’t know if you have ever heard of a company called “Airfix”.. they make model aeroplanes etc… well, my mates all started to call me Airfix the Model Fan…. … when we would go to Fulham, we would all have our nicknames on the back of our replica shirts, together with a squad number… I chose 9 (the centre forward)…. Airfix_9 was born!

To finish with, here you have something about our clan (words from Lenni ~ Sipwell) :

We wanted to bring the fun back in powersoccer. Everybody was so focussed on rank and we wanted to point out that there is more in powersoccer than ranking points: it is above all about having a great time with people from all across the world
.

It was Airfix_9 who came up with the brilliant motto: “you lose some, you draw some”. We don’t actually have leaders… as founding fathers, AF9 and me are more equal than others.

There is only good to tell from our clan: we don’t cheat, we are not competitive… We just have fun (sometimes to the expense of others)

Brilliant stuff. And it is all true, isn't that right, Lenni?

Charles and Lenni? Oh my, the mystic bubble around those two is gone. They are just two ordinary captains of industry with totally wrong names. Of course they flee in this game with nicknames. Who wouldn't!

Nice post my Angel ;)

Blast... the Spanish kid had too much time on his hands... I knew I should have opted for cocacola instead of sipwell as a nick!
