I have received an email from blogger.com. advising me that their server has identified our blog as a potential "spam blog" - essentially a blog created to host links only. Now, I was a little worried about whether or not this was a hacking attempt so I logged into Blogger directly and, lo and behold, it would appear that they have, indeed, locked our site.
Reading their description of what constitutes a "spam blog", I see this from their website (www.google.com/support/blogger/bin/answer.py?answe...):
Blogger say: "Blogs engaged in this behavior are called spam blogs, and can be recognized by their irrelevant, repetitive, or nonsensical text, along with a large number of links, usually all pointing to a single site."
Irrelevant? Repetitive? (Repetitive?) NONSENSICAL????
Guilty as charged!
Anyway, I have appealed against the decision and we await further information. I'll keep you posted

Yes, I agree, they took their sweet time
We're all A-OK again. How annoying though.
